We see ourselves as Hertford’s town choir and, in consequence, value and benefit from partnerships and associations with a number of organisations with whom we have shared or aligned interests, or with whom we can work to achieve some greater benefit.

Highlighted below are some of our present partnerships and associations;  we are always open to new approaches and ideas.  Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you would like to talk to us about partnership.

Each Christmas HCS supports two charities nominated by choir members. One of the charities supported at our "A Christmas Sparkle" concert in 2015 was the Hertfordshire Charity for Deprived Children and Peter Bodden, HCS Chair, and Derek Harrison, HCS Musical Director, were delighted to present Ralph Paddock from the charity with a cheque in support of their good work.

This partnership began in 2015 when we sponsored the Museum’s Beautiful Noise exhibition.

This exhibition celebrated 300 years of Hertford’s music-making in Hertford.  The feedback from the museum read…
The Choral Society’s sponsorship allowed us to ensure our exhibition was of the highest standard with interactive elements for children (including books and toys) and a listening post that included not just interviews but also music from all of the groups represented in the exhibition. It also allowed us to be much more adventurous with our events programme than we would have been otherwise. The Gallery Sounds programme in particular was a first for us and was received very well.

Further collaborations with the Museum are under consideration – watch this space!
