The cover design was chosen through a competition amongst HCS members and their friends and family, with members having the opportunity to vote for their favourite design at an exhibition of all of the entries at the society's AGM. The winning design was by Katharine Servant is a writer & artist who lives in the north Essex village of Steeple Bumpstead. She graduated in illustration & printmaking 1973 from the College of Art in Dundee and is a member of East Anglican Watercolourists and The Embroiderers' Guild.  Katharine is pictured here or the right with her friend and HCS member Chris Stewart Taylor (left).
